SUBSEA Research Objectives

To collect and analyze data from autonomous vehicles in order to expand our knowledge and understanding of deep sea operations. The acquired knowledge can later be used to diagnosticate ideal methods for scientific exploration beyond Earth.

Biography

Brianna Alanis is a first year Ocean, Coastal and Earth Science (OCES) graduate student at the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley advised by Dr. John “Chip” Breier. Her background is in Biology. Her primary focus is creating autonomous proxies by means of marine chemistry and marine engineering as well as developing new methods of deep sea research.
