Title: RESOURCE team selected by NASA’s Solar System Exploration Research Virtual Institute

NASA has selected the RESOURCE (Resource Exploration and Science of OUR Cosmic Environment) as a new research team as part of the Solar System Exploration Research Virtual Institute (SSERVI). RESOURCE is a 5-year project led by PI Jennifer Heldmann (SST) and Deputy PI Matthew Deans (TI). This team focuses on determining what volatiles are available on the Moon for in-situ resource utilization. RESOURCE will assess the quantity and availability of resources on the Moon, test the technology required for processing those resources, and field test the concepts of operations required for sustained human lunar presence. ARC Code S team members include Heldmann, Anthony Colaprete, Richard Elphic, Darlene Lim, and Collaborator Chris McKay.
