For the last several weeks (3-17 August, 2015) the Resource Prospector (RP) team has been conducting functional and performance testing of an RP rover and payload prototype at JSC.

This effort is culminating this week and next (21-25 August) in a series of Distributed Operations Tests (DOT) in which the rover and payload are operated remotely by operators at ARC, KSC and JSC in a flight-like manner. These prototypes and tests are meant to reduce hardware and operations design risks as the mission works toward flight. Several participants are from ARC’s Code SST, including Anthony Colaprete, Amanda Cook, Rick Elphic and Ted Roush.
