Dr. Kimberly Ennico, a staff space scientist at NASA Ames Research Center, presented a live interactive learning web conversation to middle schools in Ilinois, Vermont, Maine and West Virginia, reaching over 100 students. Topics covered types of NASA careers and also highlighted what she does as a NASA scientist today. Dr. Ennico focused on the multi-disciplinary aspects of instrumentation for ground, air and space observatories and also discussed scientific opportunities on next generation suborbital spacecraft. The moderator was Paul Tingler of NSTA (National Science Teachers Association). The students participated in answering on-line multiple choice questions designed by Dr. Ennico and voice Q&A. The presentation occured 11am PDT, Tuesday April 19, 2011.
