LADEE Passess Critical Design Review

The Ames-led Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer (LADEE) mission has passed a key milestone, the mission’s Critical Design Review. The next step is fabrication, assembly, integration and test of the spacecraft and instrument payload. Slated for launch in May 2013, LADEE will be the first mission dedicated to measuring the Moon’s tenuous atmosphere and dust environment. LADEE’s measurements will address mysteries that have been with us since Apollo and longer.
